Sophie Monk was born in London, but she's considered an Australian singer, actress, and model. Monk is most famous for her curves and her no BS attitude, but she's been expanding her resume and trying out different things lately. Her most recent endeavor has been to sign on to replace popular Australian radio host Fifi Box while she's on maternity leave.
Box has just given birth to a baby daughter, and while she's on leave, the radio show Fifi and Jules has hired Monk to take the place of Box. According to Monk's Twitter, which she's been updating constantly, she's just landed in Sydney via Virgin Australia. She tweeted, "Landed in Sydney...See you Soon Melbourne xx."
Monk seems to be excited for her new gig, if her Twitter is any indication. It'll be an interesting change of pace for the model, who was most recently embroiled in a controversy in Los Angeles. Monk's Angel champagne ads were considered too racy and drew criticism from the public about the content.
The ad features Monk straddling a women in lingerie while carrying a bottle of champagne. However, nothing's been done of the criticism, likely considering that there are ads in LA that are way more racy than Monk's.
