It seems that Date Movie actress Sophie Monk has become the first star from Australia to have a cyber stalker charged, after James McCabe was arrested for bringing five years of terror to the Australian beauty. 30-year-old McCabe was arrested last month, after Sophie notified the police of his actions and now the cyber stalker has been charged.
It all began when James McCabe decided to begin sending Sophie Monk messages on Twitter, which began to increase and become more terrifying. At first, McCabe sent messages to Monk which were sexually explicit and also stated that he hoped that these messages would save her.
Sophie Monk then moved back to Australia but things got worse from there. James McCabe then began to send more and more tweets and, when the messages turned to death threats, Monk decided that it was time to get the police involved.
Since the ordeal began, Sophie Monk admitted that she had become so scared of James McCabe, that she could not go to sleep at night without leaving a light on. Meanwhile, McCabe has admitted that this is not the first time that he has had to shut down a Twitter account but admits that he is grateful that the police have charged him, as it will stop him doing it again.
