There are a lot of promising models from all over the world these days and it is an honour for any model to be asked to pose for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, no matter what stage of their career they are at. Every year, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue do a Rookie of the Year award, with a number of promising models fighting for the award.
This year we have seen some of the most beautiful Rookie models for some time and the competition is really going to be tough. One model who is up for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Rookie of the Year is Lauren Mellor and she definitely has a promising future ahead of her. While things for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue were a little tough for Lauren Mellor, she insists that it is all worth it.
During a recent interview, she revealed, "It was about five in the morning, and I was stark naked. [Rookie model] Hannah Ferguson got lost, and she just walked into the room while I was laying there." she explained, before adding, "When you see the whole process — from how they started to all the little bits and bulbs that they add on — by the end of it, even though you're tired, it's 100 percent worth it."
The South African beauty is not the favourite to win the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Rookie of the Year award, as she faces stiff competition from the likes of Valerie Van Der Graaf, Emily Ratajkowski, Hannah Ferguson, Lily Aldridge, Bregje Heinen, Sara Sampaio, >Chanel Iman, Cris Urena, Gigi Hadid, Marloes Hoorst and Samantha Hoopes.
