Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has become the number one female superhero over the past few years, appearing in a number of different Marvel movies in the role of Black Widow. There has been a lot of talk over the years about the possibility of Scarlett Johansson appearing in a Black Widow solo movie but, as of yet, this has not happened.
There have been plenty of people calling for a Black Widow movie, such as Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain, as well as Scarlett Johansson herself. Now, Marvel legend Stan Lee has given his views on the potential Black Widow movie, admitting that he expects it to happen sometime in the near future.
Lee explained, "We haven’t made a Black Widow movie but she’s been in some of our movies, and she will be featured more prominently as we move forward. And the chances are she will have her own movie because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies."
As well as talking about the potential of having Scarlett Johansson starring in a solo Black Widow movie, Stan Lee also went on to talk about what other standalone movies Marvel are currently working on, adding, "They are already working on Ant-Man, Dr. Strange and the Black Panther and there are others I am not allowed to talk about."
We will next see Scarlett Johansson in the role of Black Widow when she reprises the role for the Marvel movie sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron, which has once again been directed by the genius Joss Whedon and will open on April 24, 2015 in the UK and May 1, 2015 in the US.
