The television industry can be a funny old game and, over the years, we have seen a lot of very impressive shows, which get cancelled when they are just getting really good, while we have also had shows that have gone on for far too many seasons, losing what made them so great along the way. Then there are shows that just seem to keep giving the fans what they want.
One such show, which has been running for around six years now, giving us some fantastic seasons along the way, is the hit television series Castle, which is now in its seventh season on ABC. Actress Stana Katic plays Kate Beckett in Castle and she has been talking about the latest season of the show.
Katic was doing a recent interview with TV Line, when she told them, "Well, I think that’s the theme of this season — the show is focusing on Richard Castle. And I think the specific focus of this season is what happened to him during those two months, but also what happened to him that inspired him to become the novelist that he is."
She added, "I think they wanted to re-mythologize the story, and each of the characters deserves it — especially [Rick] because for so long he just seemed like the 'Nothing is ever wrong or bad' guy. It’s nice because it’ll give that character and Nathan an opportunity to add some layers to it. I’m looking forward to seeing what they end up doing with it. It’ll be fun."
Castle season seven continues to air on ABC on Monday nights at 10/9c.
