When it was announced that Disney had bought the rights to Stars from George Lucas and that they had plans to make a new Star Wars trilogy, there were a lot of sceptical fans worrying that we will be given more poor movies. However, this has not stopped fans from speculating about which stars will be cast in Star Wars: Episode VII and what characters we will see.
While there have been plenty of rumours going around about potential casting choices it seems that we are getting Star Wars: Episode VII casting news coming thick and fast. It has already been confirmed that Adam Driver has been cast as a villain in Star Wars: Episode VII and now it looks like we are getting ever closer to finding our hero of the film.
It has recently been reported that actors such as John Boyega (Attack the Block), Ed Speleers (Eragon), Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad), as well as theater actors Matthew James Thomas and Ray Fisher, are all in the running for important roles in Star Wars: Episode VII. That is a wide mix of acting talent and it could so happen that there is more than one role up for grabs here.
It is also expected that we will see Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, all returning for Star Wars: Episode VII appearances. Star Wars: Episode VII is directed by J.J. Abrams and will hit the big screen on December 18 in both the US and the UK.
