While there have been plenty of different rumours flying around about the new Star Wars movie, with some talking about which former characters will return and others suggesting possible storylines, there has been a new rumour emerge about the lead character in the film.
Star Wars: Episode VII is currently being written by Michael Arndt and most of the rumoured storylines have been dismissed so far. With that said, this latest rumour has appeared from a simple tweet that was taken by Peter Sciretta from Slash Film.
Peter took to his official Twitter account to tease to all of the Star Wars fans, “Who said the lead character in Star Wars Episode VII is going to be a male star? :)”. This has led to many claiming that Peter knows something that we don’t and that Star Wars: Episode VII will centre around a female character.
Now, the talk has turned to what female character it could be, with many suggesting that it will be Jaina Solo, the daught of Princess Leia and Han Solo. However, others are also convinced that the new Star Wars movie will bring in original characters to focus on.
Star Wars: Episode VII is set to be released in 2015.
