With the news that Star Wars: Episode VII is being made, fans around the world began to talk about what the plot would be and who would be in the movie. The script for Star Wars: Episode VII is currently being worked on by Michael Arndt but it seems that a buck to the trend of movie making is happening.
Usually, the process of making a movie sees a script handed in and a decision made on the types of places that the makers want to shoot. However, since everybody knows what is expected for a Star Wars back drop, it appears that they are already looking at potential locations.
Many fans have been calling for less green screen filming and more shooting on location and by the looks of things, their voices are finally being heard. Apparently, location scouts have already been dispersed and, according to those in the know, they are looking at Wadi Rum in Jordan.
Wadi Rum, Jordan could easily be used for any of the desert scenes, as it consists of steep inselbergs, which are surrounded with red and yellow sand dunes. Wadi Rum is already a popular tourist attraction and with Star Wars: Episode VII filming there, it would boost tourism even further.
