When it comes to comic book characters, Marvel and DC have been huge rivals for many years, so when it comes to comic book movies and comic book television shows, that rivalry is taken to a new level. Over the years, we have seen DC and Marvel creating very similar characters and we have decided to take a look at a couple of similar characters, who have hit the big screen and the small screen.
When it comes to DC, they have been doing a fantastic job at bringing us some very impressive comic book television shows over the years, with the hit The CW series Arrow leading the way. Actor Stephen Amell plays the role of Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow and he has given us some fantastic performances over the past few years. Stephen has definitely made the role his own and we could never imagine another actor as Green Arrow.
As for Marvel, they have been dominating on the big screen, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe feeling like it has taken over Hollywood. Actor Jeremy Renner plays the role of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in the Marvel movies, appearing in plenty of films to date, with even more to come. Unfortunately for Jeremy, his character has come in for a bit of slack over the years, with the actor himself also disappointed at times.
If we had to choose which actor was doing a better job at playing their character, we would have to go for Stephen Amell, simply for the fact that Green Arrow has been the better character of the two. It is not that Jeremy Renner has done a bad job as Hawkeye, it is just that the character has not exactly hit the spot for us. Let us know what you think.
