Indiana Jones director, Steven Spielberg, has revealed how, even though he does not always agree with the ideas that George Lucas comes up with, he will ultimately go with them since it is George Lucas who created the character. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came in for some criticism but Steven claims that the storyline for the Indiana Jones movies is always down to George Lucas.
Spielberg explained, "I am best friends with George and I’m very obedient to the stories that he writes. I’ll fight things I don’t believe in but ultimately if George wants to bring inter-dimensional beings into Crystal Skull, I will do the best job I possibly can to acquit George’s idea and make him proud.” Steven then spoke about the possibility of an Indiana Jones 5.
He added, ”It’s up to George. We have already agreed on the genre of the fifth movie, we already have a concept in mind. I don’t know where George is with the story. There is no Indy 5 until George says there is.” Harrison Ford has previously admitted that he would be glad to return for an Indiana Jones 5 movie, as long as they did not make his character go to Mars.
