There has been plenty of talk about a Jurassic Park IV movie being made over the years and, while at one point it did not look like we were going to get one, that has all now changed. Universal Pictures are putting everything in place to get Jurassic Park IV shooting this year, getting together a cast and crew, ready to begin production.
Steven Spielberg could be directing
However, there is one member of the team that Universal Pictures are keeping a secret and do not yet want to announce. It has been claimed that they have already brought a director on board to helm Jurassic Park IV, but they will not tell anyone who that is until they are good and ready.
This has led to many people claiming that it must mean that Steven Spielberg is returning to direct Jurassic Park IV, after all, why else would they make such a big deal about keeping it a secret. If it was anybody else, surely they would just come out and announce it straight away.

Then there is also the fact that Steven Spielberg recently pushed back production on his next movie Robopocalypse, which has just added to the rumours. Until Universal Pictures officially announce who the director of Jurassic Park 4 is, we are just going to assume that it is Steven Spielberg.
