Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has revealed how he has spent around $5m on his cocaine habit in the past. He also claims that it could be said that he also snorted half of Peru, claiming that it does not matter, as it is all in his past now.
Tyler said on Australia's 60 Minutes, "I spent five or six million dollars. But it doesn't matter. You also could say I snorted half of Peru, but it doesn't matter. You know, it's what we did." Steven then went on to talk about some of the lyrics on tracks such as Lover A Lot and Love Three Times A Day."
He added, "I was reading the lyrics upstairs and I was thinking, there's a lot of love. And I got shameful for a minute and thought, We should be more socially relevant…I'm not socially relevant but I write about love and passion – and it's fun! It's what I think a rock'n'roll band should be."
Steven Tyler and Aerosmith have enjoyed success in the charts in the past five decades, with huge hits such as Dude Looks Like a Lady, Walk This Way and the hit song from the movie Armageddon, Don't Wanna Miss a Thing.
