Yesterday we questioned whether we would see Luke Skywalker’s wife Mara Jade in the movie Star Wars: Episode VII, or if she would have been killed off already. We had some very positive feedback about Mara Jade and it seems that fans want Mara Jade to be in the new Star Wars movie.

Not only do fans want Mara Jade in Star Wars: Episode VII but they are hoping that she will have an important role in the film. Some of the hard core Star Wars fans have even thrown some names out there, as potential candidates for the role of Mara Jade.
One name that stuck in our minds was Summer Glau. While Summer does not exactly have the most impressive list of movies behind her, she has been doing a fantastic job on the small screen for years and it could well be time for her to step up into the big time.

Summer Glau certainly has the potential to play the feisty character and she has the look capable of pulling of Mara Jade for Star Wars: Episode VII. However, Summer Glau is only 31, so may be a little too young for the role, although with the quality of make-up and technology around these days, that would not be too big an issue.
