Over the course of the past few days and weeks, we have been getting a lot of casting news surrounding the hit The CW television series Arrow and which stars will be playing which characters in the third season of the show. We have now been given some more Arrow season three casting news and Superman has joined the cast of the show, but not quite how you might think.
Actor Brandon Routh played the role of Superman in the movie Superman Returns and he has now been confirmed for a role in Arrow season 3. Brandon will take on the role of Ray Palmer in a recurring role for Arrow season three, with the character also known as The Atom, a character with the ability to shrink himself down to a subatomic size.
While it is unsure whether we will see The Atom doing the shrinking thing, what we do know is that Ray Palmer will be the new owner of Queen Consolidated and will come into conflict with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). Ray is using the applied science division of Queen Consolidated for mystery reasons, which does not sit well with Oliver and his team.
While we now know that Brandon Routh with play Ray Palmer aka The Atom, we also know that actress Devon Aoki will play the role of Tatsu Yamashiro aka Katana, while Karl Yune will play the role of Maseo Yamashiro, with both characters playing a big part in the flashback scenes.
Arrow season three is set to premiere on The CW in the US on October 8. The show also airs in the UK on Sky1.
