Tamanna Bhatia and Anushka Shetty both star in the 'bilingual epic' Baahubali, but who's technically the lead actress and who's supporting? In South Indian films, it's usually norm for there to actually be one lead actress, along with the lead actor, but there are often disputes over what the technical definition of a 'lead' is.
Either way, it was initially reported that Anushka Shetty would be the only lead actress of Baahubali, but now it's being reported by the production company [Arka Media Works] that Tamanna Bhatia will also share the title.
The male leads are Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, and it's likely that Anushka and Tamanna play love interests to both the male leads. Prabhas will reportedly be playing a double role, with the title character of Baahubali and another character named Mahaabali. The film is apparently the most expensive feature expense to come out of the Tamil film industry, and it's expected to truly become a massive hit when it releases.
Right now, shooting is still underway, and it's likely that we won't see the movie in theaters until the end of the next year. Unlike most South Indian films, Baahubali seems like it'll be taking its time to get ready for the audiences. There are probably special effects sequences that need to be completed, and the filming is supposedly expected to wrap in March of next year.
