The Bang Bang Club actor Taylor Kitsch has revealed how, if he had not made it as a movie star, he would have been a nutritionist and would have focussed on the health of children. Taylor has slammed the state of childhood obesity in the US claiming that it has gone beyond a joke now and something needs to be done about it.
Kitsch explained, "We're in the worst state we've ever been in, in terms of obesity in kids, adult early onset diabetes, and so on. Especially in the States. It's a f**king joke. I'm more worried about the kids, the younger generation. That's who I would focus on.” Taylor then went on to discuss when he once lost 35 pounds for a role in the movie The Bang Bang Club.
He added, "That was f**king stupid and there's not a lot of actors who will do that. It's just way too extreme, and being a nutritionist I found it hard. Everything I knew just went out the window. The way I worked, it changed my walk, my confidence, everything. I was very bipolar. My mood swings were f**king insane. I was very emotional, I had night terrors, I couldn't sleep. It was a zoo." Taylor Kitsch can next be seen on the big screen in the movie John Carter, which is released on March 9.
