Country singer Taylor Swift has lent her voice to the character Audrey in the upcoming movie Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax and she has been talking about her voice over work. Taylor also admitted that, when it comes to acting in movies, she has to be completely sure that she will have the time and ability to fall in love with the character she is playing.
Swift explained, “Acting is something I've been fascinated by my entire life. I would want to have the time, the ability and the love for something, the love for a character to where I could really make that commitment to it.” Taylor then discussed how doing voice over work for movies is very different from recording music in a studio.
She added, “What people don't think about with character acting in the voice-over form [is] you're making a lot of sounds. It's very different from when you're singing songs that you wrote. With this, you're sitting there in a booth by yourself having conversations with no one.” Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is out today in the US and is released in the UK on July 27.
