Country singer Taylor Swift has been talking about her new album Red and what it is that has inspired the majority of the theme on the record. Taylor claims that Red is a way of bringing the past two years of her life to life through music.
Swift told Reuters, “Red is really kind of diary entries of the last two years of my life. There were beginnings and ends and there were ups and downs, and lessons that I learned and then had to learn all over again the exact same way ... the ups and downs of the whole experience of falling in love and being let down and letting go and starting over.”
Taylor Swift has become renowned for writing love songs about certain boys, which lead to many people speculating who the boy in the songs could be. However, Taylor admits that she takes solace in the fact that the majority of people are way off the mark.
She added, “It helps me to know that 90 percent of what those little blog posts and articles say isn't true at all. The one bit of privacy that I have is knowing that I know who inspired those songs and I don't tell anyone. For me, keeping my private life private and only sharing it with people through my music allows me to have that connection with my fans and not shut them out of anything. But it allows me to also have something that's just mine.”
Taylor Swift is rumoured to have had a brief relationship with One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles. Taylor is currently dating 18 year old Conor Kennedy.
