The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is coming along fast and the cast is really starting to grow. As we already know, the main villain of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is going to be Electro and it appears that Sony may well have decided on the man to bring Electro to life.

It has been claimed by Variety that Sony are currently in talks with Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx to portray Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. To add to this, Jamie has also admitted that he would love to play Electro and even attended a Halloween party as the character.
Jamie Foxx is certainly a great actor who has done a fantastic job at bringing characters to life on the big screen. While some have expressed their disappointment at the news, we cannot think of a better actor to play Electro in The amazing Spider-Man 2.

Director Marc Webb will be returning to helm the sequel and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be returning to reprise their roles as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey. It has also been confirmed that Shailene Woodley will be playing Mary Jane Watson in the film. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set to be released on May 2, 2014.
