While it is still very early days, with over a year until the movie gets released and the fact that they have only just begun shooting, The Amazing Spider-Man sequel has been given its official title. Unfortunately, it is not that exciting, as the movie is simply being called The Amazing Spider-Man 2, although there is plenty of time for that to change.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Colm Feore has signed up to join the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. While there has been no official confirmation of his role in the film, there have been rumours circulating, that he will be playing Norman Osborn.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon aka Electro, Sally Fields as Aunt May and Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, with Paul Giamatti as Rhino.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb, based on a screenplay that has been developed by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner, and is being produced by Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. The movie is set to be released on April 18, 2014 in the UK and on May 2, 2014 in the US.
