While there are some people who feel that the hit CBS comedy series The Big Bang Theory has lost its way a bit, there are still those who absolutely love the show and credit it for helping to make science sexy again. Actress Kaley Cuoco plays the role of Penny in The Big Bang Theory and she has admitted that she loves getting to be a part of something so special.
Cuoco explained, "They were the underdogs from day one, and people fell quickly in love with them and wanted them to win, wanted them to do well. They fell in love early on with these four guys and wanted them to get the girl, wanted them to get the job, and it made science kind of sexy."
As well as talking about the fact that The Big Bang Theory has helped to make science become sexy, and getting to be a big part of such a great show, Kaley Cuoco also went on to talk about how rare it is for such a show to have such a long lasting success. Kaley admitted that she is still shocked every time she hears about how impressive the ratings for the show still are.
Cuoco added, "Every single day, we’re shocked when we look at ratings. We’re shocked that the people still want to see us. We love being there and you know, I don’t ever want it to end, but you know how it is."
The Big Bang Theory season 11 will premiere on CBS on Monday, September 25 at 8/7c.
