Season five of The Big Bang Theory returned last night and it was a very enjoyable season opener. Unlike How I Met Your Mother, which seems to have lost its way, The Big Bang Theory stuck to what it knows best and the geekiness is clearly back in a big way.
The show’s co creator Bill Prady had previously confirmed that the new season would be more about the geeky side of things rather than the relationship side and it proved to be so. Obviously there are still some relationship issues that need addressing but this was total geek.
As expected, Jim Parsons put in another superb and hilarious performance as Sheldon Cooper, making The Big Bang Theory season five premiere one of the best season openers to date. It was funny, it was clever and it was everything we have come to love about the show.
