We have seen a lot of impressive comedy series coming and going over the years and, while some shows tend to start falling off a bit by the time they decide to end things, there is one show that continues to get bigger and better every year. That show is none other than the hit CBS comedy series The Big Bang Theory.
During the last season of The Big Bang Theory we got to see Sheldon (Jim Parsons) finally giving in to the urges of Amy (Mayim Bialik) and giving her a kiss, which he almost seemed to enjoy. With The Big Bang Theory season 8 expected to premiere in just a few weeks, Mayim has spoken about the kiss and what it means for everyone involved.
Bialik told Gold Derby, "It means a lot on two levels. It means a lot for the characters to be moving to that place after so many years. Especially the way our writers chose to do it was really elegant and really touching and beautiful. It also means a lot to the actors, for me and Jim to get to the place in our acting process where we're ready for that and our characters are ready for that. That's a very intimate moment."
It was initially expected that The Big Bang Theory season 8 would premiere on CBS on Monday, September 22 at 8/7c but that could be set to change. The Big Bang Theory stars Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki and Jim Parsons have yet to sign up for the new season and it looks like their wage demands will delay things for a while.
