The hit CBS comedy series The Big Bang Theory has had a number of impressive cameo appearances in the past, with the likes of Stephen Hawkin, Leonard Nimoy and Stan Lee all appearing on the show. But the familiar faces do not stop there and we are set to see more in the future.

Leonard and Sheldon
In a later episode of the current season of The Big Bang Theory, we will get to see another guest star appearing in a cameo role. It has been reported by TV Line that Bob Newhart, of The Bob Newhart Show, has signed on to appear in a guest role on The Big Bang Theory.
Bob Newhart is set to appear in The Big Bang Theory as a celebrity television science personality who used to host a popular kids television series, which both Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) were big fans of. Sheldon discovers that the professor can be hired to appear at functions and events, so decided to get him to come to his apartment.

The Bob Newhart episode of The Big Bang Theory is set to air on CBS on May 2. The Big Bang Theory is currently in its sixth season but has already been renewed for a seventh season by CBS.
