It has been revealed that legendary astronaut Buzz Adrin is set to make a guest appearance in the hit CBS comedy series The Big Bang Theory. Buzz is set to appear on The Big Bang Theory in the October 25 episode, The Holographic Excitation, which sees the guys celebrating Halloween.

Buzz, who will play himself on the show, is not the first astronaut to appear on The Big Bang Theory, as Mike Massimino has a recurring role in the show, where he plays himself and part of the shuttle crew of Howard, played by Simon Helberg.
The Big Bang Theory is renowned for having guest stars on the show who agree to play themselves as the heroes of the geeks, mainly Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons. Other stars to make guest cameo roles include Stan Lee, Steven Hawking and Leonard Nimoy, who voiced a Spock toy.

Former Star Trek actor Will Wheaton also makes a regular appearance on The Big Bang Theory, as the arch nemesis of Sheldon. The Big Bang Theory, which stars Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco and Kunal Naayar, continues on Thursday nights at 8pm on CBS.
