The Dark Knight Rises actor Christopher Judge has admitted that he cannot really talk too much about the character that he plays in the new Batman movie, due to the secrecy surrounding it. However, he did admit that it was one of the most bizarre experiences of his professional career.

Judge explained, “Well I can talk more about the experience than the role, everything about it is secret. It was one of the most bizarre experiences. Not the being on set or dealing with anyone but the secrecy surrounding it, I’ve never dealt with a project of that scale. Generally [with a regular movie] you get a script, you know what you’re shooting the next day or weeks in advance or whatever, you have time to prepare.”
He added, “Generally [on The Dark Knight Rises], what you do when you get a call time is, the AD (assistant director) would read you your lines for the next day, because nobody got scripts. So you could kind of at least have in your mind roughly what you’re gonna be doing the next day. Then, you’d get to set and it would all change and it was like that constantly. It is incredibly freeing as an actor but also incredibly scary.”

Chris continued, “[Christopher Nolan] hires people that he thinks are great actors and then gives them a tremendous amount of freedom. Oh wait! I just gave myself ... that sounded really egotistical. I just called myself a great actor.”
The Dark Knight Rises is released on July 20.
