The Fray are currently putting a few finishing touches on their forthcoming album Scars & Stories, which is set to be released next year. The bands guitarist and songwriter Joe King has revealed the reason why The Fray have called their new album Scars & Stories.
Joe explained, “I think I just had a hard time with the name because I didn’t want it to feel like that it is a downer kinda record, 'cause it's not. The record is a very forward and going somewhere kind of record. But then the more we thought about it and the process, obviously I was over thinking it and getting way to deep with it.”
He added, “We just liked the meanings of it. I mean scar - it represents what you went through and it’s not painful. It's your past, it's history, but it's also a story and we all have them and this record really has a lot of that.” The Fray are set to release Scars & Stories on February 7, 2012. The album’s first single Heartbeat is out now.
