The Futureheads to release new material early next year

It has been quite a while since The Futureheads released any new original material but it appears that fans of the band will not have to wait too much longer. Ross from The Futureheads has confirmed that the band are working on new material and should be ready to release some of it in the early new year.

Ross explained to Skiddle, “We’ve only done a couple of songs, but it will probably be early in the New Year. It’s been a couple of years since we released some new material as Rant was re arrangements and covers so we’re looking forward to getting it out there. We’re dying to do it.”

He added, “We’ve got a lot going on with doing Split Festival, and then Jaff’s going back to university, doing that alongside the band, and Dave’s got a little boy but studio time is our priority in a lot of ways.”

The Futureheads recently performed at the Reading and Leeds festivals where fans were treated to acapella and acoustic sets by the band. Being veterans of the Reading and Leeds festivals the band took to it like a duck to water and fans were not left disappointed. We cannot wait to hear their new material, can you?
