Many consider the American band Haim, who hail from Los Angeles, as the breakthrough act of 2013 and the girls are certainly very talented. However, just like any other girl, the Haim sisters, Danielle, Este and Alana, love to shop, especially when they are out on tour.
Alana said, "I spent too much money at the amazing thrift store we found today, but I got a lot of shit, so that’s fine—my dad won’t be too mad. I’m really into bomber jackets—I’ve got, I think, 20 of them at home, which is way too many. My parents are kind of mad about the fact that I kind of hoard things—I’m like a low-key hoarder. Every time I come back from tour, my mom is upset because there’s nowhere to put all of my clothes from the tour. It leads to a whole big kafuffle, but it’s all good.”
Meanwhile, Danielle raved about Wild Man, adding, "It’s my favourite vintage store. So we spent a couple of hours in there and tried on a bunch of shit. I got a jean jacket, 10 T-shirts, a pair of jeans. It was awesome—it kind of made for one of the more chill days out of the entire year."
Haim will now leave the US, as they head of on their European leg of their World tour, which kicks off in Lyon, France November 14. For those Haim fans in the UK, the girls will hit England on November 4, starting in Norwich.
