The search for a suitable candidate to play Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games sequel 'Catching Fire' has been narrowed down to three actors.
E! Online has reported that Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch and Garrett Hedlund are the three names in the frame for the much-coveted role. Finnick Odair is a former Hunger Games winner who befriends Jennifer Lawrence's character, Katniss Everdeen, in the sequel to the hit movie.
Robert Pattinson had been linked to the role, but has now ruled himself out.
E! quoted an insider as saying that a decision could be made by the end of this week, but also claims that another source says unknown actors are being considered.
Armie Hammer played the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network and is set to star in The Lone Ranger next year, and many are supporting the decision to cast him as Finnick.
Meanwhile, Taylor Kitsch starred in Battleship, and played Gambit in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He also played Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights.
Garrett Hedlund appeared in Troy, Tron: Legacy, and co-stars with Kristen Stewart in her new movie On The Road.
