This musician, turned actress, turned musician again, is best known for her television role as Alice Pieszecki, a bi-sexual journalist on the Showtime hit series ‘The L-Word’ -- in which Hailey garnered a mass following due to her quirky, comedic, and extraordinary acting ability.
Although ‘The L-Word’ ended after six seasons, the impact of the show had permanently left its mark on all faithful followers, and created a new platform for the LGBT community to expand on. And fans of the amazingly bold character Alice Pieszecki, were left to wonder if she would make another come back – but to no avail.
Hailey moved on from ‘The L-Word,’ attaining other film and television roles as she had thoroughly proved herself to be a worthy stellar actress. From 1996-2012, Leisha stayed constant in the acting world limelight – further fleshing out her resume while adding to her legacy.
All artist began their careers from a specific foundation; the roots of which they migrate from always seem to pull them back to where they originally started, and Leisha was no exception as she found her way back to the music world.
‘UhHuhHer,’ is an electro-pop duo band that was founded in 2007 by Leisha and her front singer and current partner, Camila Grey. The group frequently tours around the world with Hailey showing off her guitarist skills and rocker image, while the cartoonish effect of their music videos immediately draw you in to its animated world of wonder. Their current record label titled ‘Nettwerk,’ is set to debut their first single “Innocence,” on February 4, 2014, off their ‘Future Souls’ album.
