Noelle Pikus-Pace is going into the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia as both a favourite to win a medal on the podium and almost assuredly will be a winner of the hearts of the American public. In her last World Cup race in Germany, the final skeleton competition before the Olympics she won the race which gives her four World Cup wins in the 2013-14 season. The story of Noelle Pikus-Pace is one of those stories that is so good one could not make it up. Early in her career when she was a favourite to win an Olympic medal she gets injured and is unable to compete in the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. In the 2010 Winter Olympics she finishes just outside of the medals and retires from competition. Now, she is competing after having unretired and is once again a favourite to medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Even the most cynical individual would find her the perseverance of Noelle Pikus-Pace admirable but at the 2014 Winter Olympics she has the opportunity to become a public figure as either a motivational speaker or an Internet fashion beauty because she is a very attractive woman who is becoming a major attraction to male bloggers and men's magazines.

If Noelle Pikus-Pace wins a gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics she is going to be faced with a pleasant dilemma of whether she accepts the numerous cameo television and movie appearances that her stunning physique will attract as well as the numerous requests for her to model lingerie and bathing suits or does she move into the ultra-competitive world of motivational speaking.
Many athletes dread the prospect of retirement but if Noelle Pikus-Pace is able to finish her skeleton-racing career with a win she will have numerous post-career employment opportunities many of which she likely may not have imagined when she returned to skeleton racing in 2012 in pursuit of the ever elusive Olympic medal.
