Following the success of One Direction in the US last year, it is no surprise that other UK acts are heading over to try their luck with the US music market. One such act is the girlband The Saturdays and it appears that they are much more popular than they were expecting.

Una Healy performing on stage
Una Healy told MTV News, “We are only getting to know them as they are all quite new and we are only starting to build a fan base. At the signing, a few hundred people turned up and like Rochelle was saying, we were worried for the tumbleweed. But there was a long queue and they had like all the CD singles from the very beginning and they had been following us on the internet.”
She added, “We are growing our fan base and they are all just so nice, The Americans tend to be very optimistic and positive and it's quite nice to have that. But we do not forget about our fans back here in the UK.”

Frankie Sandford admits she is shocked by US fans
Frankie Sandford then said, “It's just more of a shock when we know that they know our older stuff. You kinda forget that because of the internet, everyone can kind of see everything, you don't really realise that people from that far across the pond know who we are, it was more of a surprise I think.”
If you are a fan of The Saturdays and you are looking forward to seeing some new things from them, then you can catch the girls on the television series Chasing The Saturdays, which airs on E! UK at 10pm on February 3.
