Hollywood actor James Gandolfini has died at the age of 51. The star, who was probably best known for playing the role of Tony Soprano in the hit television series The Sopranos, suffered from a massive heart attack, which resulted in his death, according to The Daily News.
James Gandolfini was holidaying in Italy when he suffered the heart attack, leaving his family, friends and millions of fans around the World devastated. It is believed that James was in Italy to attend a film festival in Sicily.
James Gandolfini's managers issued a statement, saying, "It is with immense sorrow that we report our client James Gandolfini passed away today while on holiday in Rome, Italy. Our hearts are shattered and we will miss him deeply. He and his family were part of our family for many years and we are all grieving."
Meanwhile, HBO added, "He was special man, a great talent, but more importantly a gentle and loving person who treated everyone no matter their title or position with equal respect. He touched so many of us over the years with his humor, his warmth and his humility."
