Cassidy Freeman is the latest person to join the cast of The Vampire Diaries and she has teased the possibility of a threesome scene. Cassidy hinted to Entertainment Weekly that her character Sage is set to become entangled in a three way relationship with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Rebekah (Claire Holt).
Freeman explained, "With any sort of threesome, you never know who to trust, but it's definitely a sordid affair - and because they're vampires, it has to happen in the bedroom. I think that's one of the rules!"
She then went on to reveal how she came to receive the role of Sage in The Vampire Diaries, claiming that it was pretty much an offer she could not refuse. Cassidy also revealed how there is a lot of manipulation involved in the hit The CW vampire series.
Freeman added, "They're all, 'Shower scene, ambiguous sexual orientation scene, boxing in 1912 - do you want the part?' And I'm all, 'That's not a question. That's an offer'. It's definitely a manipulating time. In the present day, I'm trying to help Damon figure out what Rebekah's up to, and let's just say that we'll use any tactic that we can."
The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursday nights on The CW.
