It seems that The Wanted are putting their attempts to compete with their rival boybands into overdrive, by releasing two new albums in 2013. The Wanted have currently been playing second fiddle to One Direction but, since they have waited so long between albums, they are set to put two out in the same year.
Jay McGuiness explained, “We actually held off on (last) year's album, which the record label were kind of upset about, but the quality wasn't there. We wanted it to be good, not just release it.
"So we kept on writing this whole year (2012) and never released anything, apart from a few singles. And we just found now we have quite a lot of material and we've got more writing to come.
"We just said to the fans, 'You've waited a long time for another album, so just so you know, there's a chance there's two this year.'"
The Wanted are set to release the first of their two new albums, which will be their third studio album, titled Strike in March. However, they will have to do a lot more than just release two new albums to compete with One Direction, who are releasing a movie this year.
