Louis Walsh is the man who was responsible for giving us acts such as Westlife, Boyzone and the X Factor fools Jedward and it seems that he is not finished there. Every year on The X Factor, Louis Walsh seems to back an act who everybody else hates and it is likely to continue.
There have been a number of rumours surrounding the judging panel of next seasons X Factor but every present judge Louis Walsh is set to return for yet another season. Louis Walsh appeared on the judging panel in the very first season, back in 2004 and next season will mark his tenth in a row.
It was unclear whether Louis would be returning next season, as ITV producers were said to be trying to give him the boot. However, Walsh has powerful friends in high places and one of them, a certain Mr Simon Cowell, came to his rescue and convinced ITV to keep him on the show.
A friend of Louis told The Sun, He’s been told by the heads of entertainment at ITV that he’s coming back and (executive producer) Richard Holloway has also said he’ll be back. Obviously he wants to see the contract in his hand but everyone who has the power to make a decision on it has said he’s coming back so if that changes something very odd has gone on."
The insider added, “Normally it’s Simon who upsets the apple cart at the last minute but he’s been desperate to keep Louis on the show so he’s unlikely to give him the axe. He’s always said he wants to do ten series of the show."
Now we just have to wait and see who else will be returning for the new season of The X Factor and if anyone will be getting replaced on the judging panel.
