There were high hopes for James Arthur when he first auditioned for The X Factor, as he seemed to have that little something which made him stand out from the rest. James continued to impress all of the way through the audition stages, right up to the live shows.
Then, on the live shows, James continued to show his uniqueness and originality and, although similarities could be made between him and Plan B, he seemed to be just what The X Factor needed. However, it seems that, after all of that, James Arthur is just another X Factor clone.
On Saturday night, James Arthur performed an acoustic version of the LMFAO dance track Sexy And I Know It, which earned him rave reviews. All four of the X Factor judges praised James for his ability to take a song and make it his own and here is where the problem lies.
James Arthur did not make the song his own. In fact, James ripped of the song from a YouTube video posted by Only1Noah, which has been viewed over 13.5 million times. This has caused fans to call for James Arthur to be booted out of the show. Listen to the two versions below and let us know what you think.
