It is no secret that The X Factor boss Simon Cowell is a fan of having both a male and female host for his shows both in the UK and in the US. Simon initially had Steve Jones and Nicole Scherzinger as host on The X Factor USA but things changed once Cheryl Cole was sacked from the judging panel and Nicole replaced her.

However, Simon has since sacked Steve Jones as the host of The X Factor USA and has admitted that he is looking to bring on board a male and a female to present the next season of the show. Now it appears that Simon could well be looking to do the same with the UK show.
While Dermot O’Leary is set to host this year’s X Factor in the UK, it has been claimed that it will be his last and that he will be getting replaced by The Xtra Factor hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs for next year’s season of the hit reality singing show.

It seems like a bold move by Simon Cowell, as Dermot O’Leary is a huge hit with almost everybody who watches the show. Meanwhile, Caroline Flack lost quite a few female fans when she dated One Direction singer Harry Styles. Simon Cowell has yet to confirm the rumour and is unlikely to until next year.
