There has been a lot of discussion about who the two new female judges are likely to be on the new season of The X Factor USA. One of the names that keeps on popping up is Britney Spears but a few weeks ago it seemed as though Britney had priced herself out of the running.
However, a source who is said to be close to the involvement of the negotiations has told Deadline that Britney Spears and Simon Cowell have come ever close to an agreement. It is believed that Britney will earn $15m to be the new judge on The X Factor USA, which surpasses the $12m earned by Jennifer Lopez on American Idol.
While there is still another judge to be signed on for the second season of The X Factor USA, it is believed that Simon Cowell and his team have focussed all of their efforts on getting Britney Spears to sign up for the show.
Some of the other names linked to The X Factor USA judging panel are Black Eyed Peas star Fergie, who has denied being interested in the role, and LeAnn Rimes, who is believed to have had preliminary talks with the producers of the show.
The X Factor USA season two is set to air on Fox in September.
