It has been reported that The X Factor USA winner Melaine Amaro is being protected by those around her and is not being forced into rushing out her debut album. Melanie Amaro won the $5m recording contract along with a Pepsi Super Bowl commercial back in December and X Factor USA judge LA Reid has confirmed that they will take their time to make her debut album perfect.
Reid explained, "We're still recording Melanie. She's a very important and special artist because she's the winner, so it's very important we get it right and not rush it out for the sake of having it out. We want music that can stand the test of time. She's one of the greats and we want her recordings to reflect that."
He added, 'We're patient enough to take the right amount of time and do this properly... like Simon Cowell did with One Direction, who now have a Top 10 single in America. There wasn't a rush to do it, it was more important to do it properly and we'll stick with that philosophy." Open auditions for The X Factor USA season two are set to open on March 14 in Kansas City.
