Theo James has fans excited about his movie "Insurgent" after a promotional poster and trailer for the film was released. On the poster he looks amazing in an action pose beside co-star Shailene Woodley (Venture Capital Post - February 3).

There is no question that he is happy to be involved with this movie but one look at the other films that he is attached to in 2015 suggests that he is an actor who wants to show his peers and filmmakers that he is more than an action film star.
In 2015 in addition to the highly anticipated and promoted film "Insurgent" he will be seen in starring roles in the films "London Fields", "Franny" and "The Secret Scripture" which he is currently filming. The interesting aspect of the latter three films is that they are not action-adventure films which shows much maturity on the part of this English actor.

It would be easy to continue to star in action-adventure roles as he has developed himself into one of the top stars in this genre. Unfortunately, if he were to do so he would become known as an actor who can only do those type of roles and would then potentially be less of a consideration for some of the meaty roles that give an actor the opportunity to show their ability to play a complex, challenging, damaged character in a dramatic role.
His 2015 film schedule is indicative of an actor eager to show that he has the dramatic range that is the equal of the most esteemed leading men in Hollywood and has some entertainment observers very intrigued about seeing him act opposite some of the top actors such as Johnny Depp, Richard Gere and Rooney Mara.
Theo James may not be saying it with his words but his choice of roles in 2015 suggests that he wants to be viewed as an actor who can play 'any' role and not be seen as primarily an action-adventure actor.
