Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcántara says that signing for the German side is the best decision he has ever made. He was speaking in a press conference ahead of the Champions League tie with Manchester City (which they lost 3-2).
In the interview he said "I really enjoy the way we play. Signing for Bayern was the best decision I've ever made" - showing that he is very happy with his move, and that he much prefers playing for Bayern than he did playing for Barcelona.
Thiago Alcántara moved to Bayern from Barcelona in July 2013 for €25 million however he has only made a few appearances for the German side so far as he was sidelined for seven months with an injury he picked up in a tie against Nurnburg. He said he is now "100% fit again" and that he hopes to be "playing in the starting XI, whichever position I play in". He got his wish, starting and playing the whole game in the defeat against Manchester City.
Now that his injury is out of the way it will be interesting to see if Alcántara can make a serious impact at Bayern and earn a place in the starting eleven. If he can then Bayern may think that signing him was one of their best decisions too.
