Tiger Woods aiming for Top 10 return

Former world number one golfer Tiger Woods will be aiming to return to the top 10 in the world rankings this week with a win at the Abu Dhabi Championship. Tiger had dropped out of the top 50 last month but has managed to rise back up to 21st, with a win at the Chevron World Challenge, his first tournament win for over two years.

It is believed that, as well as racking up some valuable world ranking points, Tiger Woods will also be receiving an appearance fee which is believed to be well into seven figures. Woods will be facing quite a formidable field, with all of the top 4 competing at the event. Tiger said, "I'm very excited to get going. I'm looking forward to testing my game against a very strong field."
If things start to go Tiger Woods way and he continues his resurgence up the world rankings chart, there is a possibility that he could put himself in a position to challenge for the world number 1 spot as early as April. However, that really does determine on, not only the performances of Tiger Woods himself, but also of those around him.
