It has been confirmed that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will be replacing the departing Ricky Gervais as the hosts of the Golden Globes next year. People were looking forward to having Ricky host the show but it appears that the replacements have gone down rather well.

President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), Takla-O'Reilly said, “The unparalleled comedic timing of Tina and Amy will surely have viewers wanting to tune-in to see them in action. The HFPA is thrilled to have the magnetic duo be a part of the show's 70th anniversary!”
President of alternative and late night programming at NBC, Paul Telegdy added, “Having both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host this year's festivities is a major coup. Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together on SNL to their successful co-starring roles in Baby Mama.”

While they seem very pleased to have Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on board to host the Golden Globes, there are many who are left disappointed. A lot of people were looking forward to seeing what controversy Ricky Gervais would bring to proceedings and are upset that he was let go so easily.
The Golden Globes is set to air on January 13 just three days before the Oscars.
