The hit HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones has seen many characters coming and going in its three seasons so far, with many actors walking through those revolving doors. One such actor is Tobias Menzies, who played the role of Edmure Tully in Game of Thrones and he has been talking about his time on the show.
During a Q&A with Independent Arts Blog, Menzies revealed, "It was very exciting. HBO are a really exciting company to work with and it reminded me of my days on Rome and working on that scale. All the sets are magnificent, the costuming is always brilliant, so it was a really exciting show to go into."
He added, "It’s not a show I knew before but I’d heard lots about it, so it was a real buzz. My first day, I remember was doing this archery scene which I’d not done before but luckily I didn’t actually have to be very good at the archery. So there was no acting required."
The last we saw of Edmure Tully in Game of Thrones, he was being carried away to consummate his new marriage, before the slaughter of the Red Wedding took place. It is not yet known what fate faced Edmure or whether he will return to the show. Game of Thrones season four will premiere on HBO next year.
