Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has been in the movie making business for decades now and is widely regarded as one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood. Tom can currently be seen on the big screen, starring alongside British actress Emily Blunt, in the movie Edge of Tomorrow.
A few years back, Emily Blunt said that she would rather do poorly paid theatre work than ever star in a movie with Tom Cruise, something which the actor does not seem too bothered about. Tom has been talking about the new movie and took some time to praise his Edge of Tomorrow co-star.
Cruise explained, "She’s amazing, I love her as an actress, she’s a great actress and I love what she did with this character. It is sci-fi but it’s really a big adventure, popcorn movie. It was fun playing with these characters and playing with Emily Blunt in a very unique, kind of romantic story, and romantic relationship where she essentially kicks my butt throughout the movie and trains me"
As well as starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, the Edge of Tomorrow cast also includes Bill Paxton, Lara Pulver, Jeremy Piven, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Charlotte Riley and Jonas Armstrong, to name just a few. Edge of Tomorrow is directed Doug Liman, based on the screenplay that was worked on by Christopher McQuarrie, Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth from the Hiroshi Sakurazaka novel All You Need Is Kill. Edge of Tomorrow is out now in the UK, while it will hit the big screen in the US on June 6.
