There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the official release date of the John Hillcoat movie The Wettest County in the World, with many expecting it to be released next month, giving it a chance of an Oscar push. However, the official release date has now been confirmed.
The Wettest County in the World is a crime drama which centres around a depression era, bootlegging family in the American South. The movie has a whole host of A list Hollywood names including Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf and Mia Wasikowska.
While many fans, who have been eagerly awaiting the release of The Wettest County in the World, will be disappointed that it is not released this year, they will be thankful that it does now have an official release date. The Wettest County in the World is released on April 20, 2012.
