There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of the James Bond franchise, with there being plenty of different rumours about what is going to take place with the next instalment of the legendary franchise. It has been claimed that Daniel Craig is going to step down from the role of James Bond, which has led to a lot of suggestions as to who should replace him as 007.
One of the names that continues to pop up, is that of the British superstar Tom Hiddleston, who has already admitted that he would definitely be open to the idea should it become a reality. Now, Tom has once again spoken about being linked to the role of James Bond, admitting that he is overwhelmed by the amount of support he has already received from the fans.
Hiddleston was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, when he told the host and the watching audience, "As somebody who grew up with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, when you mention it there's a part of me that goes, 'Really? are you kidding?'"
He added, "But I feel like who is going to be the next James Bond is the nation's favourite pub conversations. It's up there with 'Who's going to win The X Factor? When is the England national side going to live up to its full potential? Is Britain going to leave the EU?'"
With all that said, there has still not been any official confirmation about whether Daniel Craig will return for the next James Bond movie or if he will actually step down from the role, so for now we are just going to have to wait and see.
