British actors must be doing something right these days, especially when it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We have already seen a number of British stars taking on roles of comic book characters on the big screen, with even more coming our way over the course of the next few years.
One of the most popular British stars in the Marvel movies is Tom Hiddleston, who has seriously impressed us with his performances as Loki over the years. Fans are eager to get more of Tom as Loki in future Marvel movies but the actor has suggested that he could well be ready to quit playing the character.
Hiddleston was recently chatting to MTV News, when he told them, "I never quite know whether people want to see him again or whether people want to move on… I can’t really take the temperature on it. I would try not to repeat myself. I would try to do something new. I never want to feel like I’m retreading the same steps. I guess it’s like any actor who plays a character over and over again. I wonder what it’s like for the guys who play the Avengers!"
With that said, the ending of the Marvel movie Thor: The Dark World made it pretty clear that we are going to get to see Loki appearing in the new movie Thor: Ragnarok, so we will at least get to see Tom Hiddleston as Loki in one more film. Beyond that though, it does sound like the actor could be bringing his time as Loki to an end for good.
